Thread: Trying to trace a Daisy Gregory

Hello everyone

I wonder if anyone can help me ? i have hit a real brick wall in trying to trace daisy due to past family issues that turned daisy into the black sheep of the family for some reason ?

this is what i know so far }

daisy had 1 brother (Richard Clarence Gregory) and 1 sister called Grace Gregory

Daisy lived in Carlton or the surrounding area of Nottingham and we think she passed away in a nursing home on carlton hill nottingham but i cant be sure,

she married a butcher from nottingham i think ? we think her middle name might have been kate but i am unsure

is there anyone that can help me ?? we think she married a edgar green and had 2 children katherine and francise ,we belive daisy kate gregorys husband owned butcher shops,sorry we dont no much else, in the 1911 census she was in basford district with 3 in the household,daisy ,grace ,and richard , daisy mum was called mary ellen and her dad albert ,sorry dont o anything else,

If you think the marriage to Ernest is correct I think it might worth getting the marriage cert to find the names of their fathers and the ages of Daisy and Ernest. There are these two deaths for Ernest. If its the first Ernest she may have remarried.

Theres a clue in the 1901 census her parents are listed as:

Albert GREGOR, 1865 Railway Engine Driver Hanslow Buckinghamshire
Ellen Wife 1870 Bingham Nottinghamshire

I think this should be Hanslope, its close to Wolverton which was a Railway town I was born about 4 miles from Hanslope and did my apprenticship with BR. Doncaster also had a railway workshop.

1911 census lists wife as Mary Ellen and daughter as Grace Lillian
