Could somebody do a check for me please?
I'm interested in the Marriage of my uncle, Thomas Watkins to Rhoda ?
Thomas and Rhoda were married in 1918, Devonport, Devon.
Very interested in Rhoda's maiden name and any other information.

I have found this death record which gives Rhoda's approx. year of birth as 1889:

Did Thomas and Rhoda have any children? If so, it may be possible to cross-reference the mother's maiden name on the records with Rhoda's name at the time of her marriage. Another possibility is that there is a Rhoda Rayes that comes up on the Immigration List, but I'm unable to look at the record further.

noggin28. Dont think that Rhoda was previously married. Not sure though!

mrsp2008. I dont think there were any children, Rhoda dies young because of (we think) the effects of TB.

Can anyone tell me where she came from? I think she was a ''local girl'' Devon, Cornwall or Somerset?

I think the Rayes is an error and should be Kayes.

So if you buy the marriage cert for Thomas Watkins then that should show that Rhoda was a widow(of Kayes) and prove that she, whom Mrsp has found ,is the right Rhoda(born Rhoda Lampshire).
