I am looking for the correct name of my ancesters sister

Her name is recorded in family documents as Polly Hinton. She married Jack Hinton.
her maiden name was Hartill. I have a list of possible names and birth years from a bible and other sources

    v. EMMA HARTILL1, b. Abt. 1870, Staffordshire England.
vi. MARY HARTILL1, b. Abt. 1875, Staffordshire England.
vii. ANNIE HARTILL1, b. Abt. 1878, Staffordshire England. this is my ancester
viii. ADA HARTILL1, b. Abt. 1880, Staffordshire England.

If anyone can confirm which sister Polly was I will appreciate it.

    Hi!

Polly was the nickname for Mary! Mary became Molly which became Polly!

Amongst my ancestors (Mum's Aunts) I have:

    Ellen - known as Nellie
    Margaret - known as Peggy
    Mary - known as Polly

My Mum gave us all names that didn't have traditional nicknames and couldn't be shortened either!

My eldest son is called John and youngest Iain. Iain is the englised form of the Gaelic John. I worked with a Scottish woman and when I told her their names she was most confused that I had given both my children the same name! That is something I hadn't thought of!
