looking for help please with Ellen Massey born proberbly County Down Northern Ireland ( but could also have been born Lincolnshire) somewhere around the 1790's her eldest child ( living ) was born 1815 in Newry County Down. husband was John Snell.

Any help would be brilliant ty.

Ellen Burridge referred to in both Census as being born in Ireland. This means one of three things. Ellen married John Snell in Ireland, Ellen daugther was born out of wedlock or Ellen 1790 was previously married.

You raised some good points in your summing up of things Noggin..There seems to have been another son born to Ellen and John in Lincolnshire..

Samuel Snell born about 1830 and died Spilsby 1872.
