finding my ancesters

In 1877 or 1878 Thomas Jones ( born ????? ) came to Antwerp Belgium.

He was married to Ann Cole ( Baptism 20.07.1830 in St.Peters Church Liverpool )

They were married on 20 September 1853 at St.Nicholas Liverpool.

They have a son also Thomas Jones born 28.06.1854.

could someone help me in finding out the date of birth of Thomas who was married to Ann and also the date of birth of Ann.

if you can find out the Ancester of this Thomas Jones I would be very greatfull.

For Ann Cole I was able to go back to her father Thomas Cole born 05.06.1791

Hi There jonespatrick17, Do you have a copy of the marriage certificate for Thomas to Ann for 1853? Both parties Fathers name would be mentioned and their professions..Also witnesses could be family..The marriage certificate might also tell you the ages at the time of marriage for Thomas and Ann..I note above you have added Ann's Baptism information but that does not mean she was born in 1830..

You mention above that Thomas left for Belgium in 1887/1888 so we should be able to find him on the English Census for 1861/1871..The Census will tell us where Thomas was born and as well give a rough estimation on his birth year. Have you found Thomas and Ann on the 1861/1871 Census?

the marriage date I found on the 1851 census for Toxteth park extra Parochial Liverpool.
I don't have a marriage certificate for Thomas and Ann.
looking again on the information I have ,Ann cole was already deceased in 1884 When Thomas Jones( their son ) who went to belgium got married.
this is marked on the Belgium marriage certificate. It also states that Thomas Jones the father is still living in Liverpool but no adress.

Ok, so it was the son of Ann and Thomas who went to Belgium and Thomas senior stayed behind in Liverpool..If you were to purchase the marriage Cert from the GRO (General Records Office) it would tell you the Fathers name of Thomas senior and his profession..The witnesses as I stated above could be family of Thomas and that would help with the search..Does it state a profession for Thomas Jones senior on his sons marriage cert?

Right, I could have found something for you..Please note the surname of Cole is mentioned for 1861..

Thomas Jones husabnd of Ann and Father of Thomas junior was born about 1833 Ruthin..Edward Jones son of Thomas and Ann was born about 1858 Liverpool Lancashire..Jane Jones born about 1860 Liverpool Lancashire..Hugh Cole who is down as Lodger was born about 1839 Hollywell..Family were sometimes recorded as being Lodgers..I would say that Hugh was possibly the brother of Ann? Another possible brother for Ann and down as Lodger is William Cole born about 1833 Holywell..Robert Pritchard also down as Lodger was born about 1819 Ruthin the same place as where Thomas senior was born. Thomas senior gives his profession as a Shoe Maker..They are living in Montague Street.
