Ok so I finely had a break through with my Burridge family to now be stuck on Eliza Snell ( married to Matthew & William Burridge, brothers ).

Here is what I have so far.

Eliza was born 1815 Newry county Down Northern Ireland father John Smell unknown where or when he was born (although another person reseaching the same line thinks lincolnshire)he died in Bilsby lincs on 23/02/1850, and her Mother was Ellen Massey place of birth and date unknown but she did die in Alford Lincs on 30/09/1868, it is possible that John was in the forces over there but I have found as yet no evidence for that, any help would be fantastic, thankyou.

Hi Suey,

According to the 1851 census Eliza and her mother Ellen were both born in Ireland.

The 1891 is more specific and has Eliza born in Tipperary.

1861 index has Eliza born Newark, Ireland, but I'm sue that's not what's written on the original sheet, however I cannot make out what it does say.

Suey do you have the GRO ref for Eliza's marriages? I can find only the one.

Deaths Dec 1899, Eliza Burridge, age 84, Spilsby 7a/379.

Suey how certain are you that Eliza was married to both Matthew and William Burridge? I ask as I can't find a marriage to William, and Eliza was enumerated as a widow on census 1861 - 1891 inclusive. Was she perhaps married to William first?

This would appear to be the two Burridge brothers in 1841. All born Linc's living Stickford. All the men are Ag Lab's
