Thread: John Hindle of Sharples

My 5 x great grandfather was John Hindle of Lower House in Sharples, Bolton. I have a copy of his will which shows that he died in 1809 aged 86 making his birth year 1723. He describes himself as a "Gentleman". All his estate is left to his children so I assume that his wife had already died.
I am looking for his wifes name, her birth year and their marriage year. I am also trying to find who his parents were so that I can take my tree further back.
I would appreciate any information anyone has.

Thanks Milford_Lass and Elaine, The birth in Samlesbury may be correct but the marriage in 1723 is probably not him due to my calculation making him born that year. The obit I am aware of is in the Lancaster Gazette and General Advertiser. This states that he died in 1809 aged 86. Is this the same obit that you have seen ?
