Default Melburn James Tomlinson born 1920 died 2003

    Hi all

I wonder if anyone can help me with info as regards Melburn James Tomlinson,
Melburn was born in Oct qrt 1920 In Nantwich (Crewe) Cheshire to James Tomlinson and Bertha Ann nee Heathcote. Melburn's father James died in 1932 and his mother Bertha died in 1934 at which time Melburn was only 14 and their only son. I know that Melburn married Kathleen Mary Brocket in Lincolnshire in 1963, she died in 1994 in Lincolnshire and Melburn died in 2003 in Lincolnshire.

Thankyou in anticipation for your help and valid time.

    Hello Pejay

I'd love to know how Melburn ended up in Lincolnshire at the age of 14 or whether he stayed in Cheshire and moved to Lincolnshire at a later age.

By the way Pejay I love your avatar

Thanks for liking the avatar. I do change them every now and again. I am quite partial to dogs so they are usually one of these. Occasionally I go for something totally different. But not often.
Do you know what work he did? would he be on the electoral roll?. also I am assuming he was conscripted in WW11 - or perhaps he was on work of national importance.

    Hi Pejay

Many thanks for your reply. I'm not sure what the minimum age was to be on the Electrol Roll in 1934 as he was only 14 at the time, however your second assumption is a strong possibility of being conscripted in WW11.

    Hi Pauline,

So far as I can establish Melburn and Kathleen didn't have children, do you know different?

As Melburn had no siblings and so far as I can find, no children, therefore maybe no living relatives, however there maybe someone who knew him and can help.

Have you thought about posting in a local newspaper?
