Thread: May Cairns

I have been trying to find the birth certificate of my Grandmother. All the information I have on her is from her marriage certificate from August, 1921. Her name was May Cairns from Greenock, Scotland she married an Alexander McLaughlan from Port Glasgow, Scotland. Her parents were deceased at this time. Her parents names were John and Margaret Cairns nee Hynes. May and Alexander never had the chance to see all of their children grow up and any surviving elder children have been unable to help in my research. Any help would be appreciated in my search.

Scotlands People has a May Cairns born 1903 in Paisley Renfrewshire, could this be her?

From Scotlands People website, there was a May Cairns b. 1900 in Ladykirk Berwick Scotland. You would have to pay to see if it is the correct person.
Also a Margaret Cairns d. 1903 Ladykirk Berwick b. 1853 but other surname was Knox, so probably not May's mother.
Not finding any possibilities for a marriage for John & Margaret however.
