Thread: Sarah Martin Devlin

My Gradmother was born in 1891 in Greencok Scotland on 3rd March (although she celebrated her birthday on 28th Feb) and is an infant on the census of that year. Her mother Sarah Elizabeth Martin born Irelnad 1865) registered the birth and the certificate has a note added at that time from her. Although she was a married woman she states that her husband (Samual Devlin) is not the father and further says that she has had no personal communication with him since he left her 7 years previous to the birth. The mother had been married at 16 had a son at 17 and ws destered at 18. My grandmother was born in the home where here grandmother was housekeeper.
Her birth cert gives her name as Sarah Martin Devlin. Martin was her mothers maiden name and Devlin was he married name.
Her marriage cert to Tom Demaine gives her name as Sarah Martin...... everyone called her Sally.

But she is nowhere to be found on the next and neither is her mother. HELP!! Where was she at that time?

The
