Catherine Brush born 1827 Gibraltar?,
married George Stevens born 1824 Great Missingdon Buckinghamshire they married in 1845 ST Giles Cripplegate London, I have them in the 1861,1871,and 1881 census a real mix up on the pages of 1851 census as he is with his parents in Islington and she is under Catherine S Hunt with son Richard ST Lukes Middlesex

What I am trying to find out is Catherine's family, her father she gave his name as Samuel Brush tailor on the wedding certificate have looked and looked for him or Catherine in the 1841 census but no sign of them, any clues to where to look. thank you

If Catherine was born in Gibraltar her father may have been an Army man. There are service documents for a Samuel Brush here (4th on list) Search | The National Archives If this is your ancestor he was in the 12th Foot Regiment who were in Gibraltar 1823 - 1834.
