    Exclamation Robert Jones.

    Am trying to find information on my gg-grandfather Robert Jones.

    The info I have is as follows: Robert Jones born 26 Aug 1826, England. He died 6 Feb 1878 Ulverstone Tasmania, Australia. He married Mary Jane Digby on 28 Aug 1866 in Launceston, Tasmania.

    Would appreciate any assistance anyone can give in finding his parents. The only other information I have is that his father was also named Robert Jones. I have no information on how he arrived in Tasmania either, any help on this also apprciated.

    Have found the marriage in the paper and all it sya of Robert is

    Robert Jones of the river Don

    Have googled and it is a river in South Yorkshire but not sure if it's an Australian reference

    Totally aside, whilst looking, found this on the same page
