My brick wall is in Dublin, Ireland. James Keating came to New Zealand prior to 1880 where he married. The only clues I have is that he was born in Dublin Ireland in 1842. He died in an accident and on his death certificate it names his parents as James, a merchant, and Elizabeth. This may just be a co-incidence but he is James and his wife Elizabeth. I have established that he had a brother, William born 1839, who also came to NZ but didn't marry. His death certificate tells me nothing. A Thomas Keating born 1831 was also in the same district. He didn't marry and there are no parents named on his death certificate. I suspect that Thomas and William were his brothers as James named his two sons Thomas and William.
