hey I'm kinda new here so just bear with me ok?

I've been searching for records about my surname for quite some time now. I know it's quite unusual for someone who lives in England to have a surname such as mine. I actually am not in England, but from the Philippines.

OK so I came across a record of someone named "Johannis Daquis" who was baptized on 03 Mar 1694 in Thornton Steward, York, England and his father is named Leonard Daquis.

Unfortunately, this is the only record available online. I obviously can't fly to England 'cause I can't afford to buy a ticket, so I'm asking for your help. There is no record whatsoever regarding Leonard Daquis.

Obviously, this man is not a Filipino (because of his first name), the same with his father also, 'cause most of the names that Filipinos used during the Spanish occupation were based on Spanish names.

Any leads or information about the said surname or if there's anyone there who's British and have the same surname as mine, then that would be great.
