Hello
You haven't said where you looked at the marriage entry.
This is the basic information from the site familysearch.org. You can order and view the records at the local familysearch centre or local Record Office. Looking at the original records as a whole may give you a feel for the family and its movement in the area.
Groom's Name:William Rhodes
Bride's Name:Esther Craven
Marriage Date:24 Aug 1829
Marriage Place:Calverley Parish, West Riding, York, England
Name:Indexing Project (Batch) Number:M01039-1System Origin:England-EASySource Film Number:1040929Reference Number:it4 p129
I would have expected to see on the original Parish Register entry , where the couple were from, as in Both of this Parish... and witnesses + anything the minister officiating at the time sort fit to add!
As regards looking for William B 1803, I presume he has shown Pudsey on a census, therefore you need to look in this Parish record, moving out into the Parish records of the nearby villages.
Not all records have been digitalised by the LDS, the familysearch site should be used for guidance only.
