Thanks Slizzy, hopefully I have the right christina cowan, I only have birth and death years for her 1889 and 1966 and that she married John Robertson who died in 1928 back in glasgow

There's quite a few Christina Cowan's born Scotland circa 1889. Do you know your Christina lived in Yorkshire? Thought I'd better mention this marriage as it's possibly the Christina in Tankersley 1901.

looks like the wrong one then, could only see one on igi, having real problems tracking down scottish relatives

Think she may have had sisters called allison and nettie - probably glasgow so lanarkshire

Do you know she was born circa 1889, or is that a guess? I've had a quick look at census indexes and cannot find a Christina with sisters' Allison and Nettie (Annette?)

The dates are from family memory, she married John Robertson who I think died in 1928 (think he was from Mt Florida) she had a son James who died in 1942 at El Alamein
