My great grandfather is Daniel Joseph Peck, sr. and was born in New York on 29 April 1878. He is of English descent and I'm pretty sure his parents were born in England and emigrated to the States. I have found Peck lineage around Lee, Kent, England although I have no way of verifying if it is my family. Can you please help in any way?

Have you found Daniel on US census returns? What was the name of Daniel's wife, and do you have childrens' names and dates of birth? Any extra info you are able to share with us will help us to help you.
Do you know his parents' names and approx years of birth?
Was Daniel living in New Jersey in 1930 with wife Mary, and children Daniel, Raymond, Charles, Eugene, Peter and Marie?
Although I have found Daniel Peck's born circa 1878 and born New York, none on the 1880, 1890, 1900 census have parents' entered as born in UK. Do you know if his father was born in England or was it his grandfather?
To assist you further we really need to establish his father's name, who then can be searched on US census returns. We can then look at passenger lists to try and find when he left the UK, some passenger lists give more details than others, and if you are lucky they give where from and occupation. As I said before, the more info you can provide the better equipped we are to trace your UK ancestry.
The Daniel I mentioned on the previous post states his parents were born in the UK, but I cannot find him on census returns with parents born UK, there is a Daniel Peck with parents Alexander and Matilda but Alexander was born in US.

This same guy is on the 1910 census with Mary his wife, and children William 8, Daniel 6, and Raymond 2. They are living Hudson NJ; Daniel's occupation was Insurance Agent.Originally Posted by slizzy
The problem is locating Daniel with his parents' in 1880, 1890 or 1900.
