Hart and shad marriage.

Hi fellow Listers,
I've been away for a while but have never forgotten just about the best site in genealogy.

Can anyone help me with a marriage between a Hart [male] and Shad. I have a photo titled Zalig Hart holding g/daughter Lilly Shad b.1928. But nothing in my files speak of a Shad marriage.
I know you have little to go on, but I'd appreciate any thing.

If the baby's last name is Shad, would that mean that her father was a Shad and her mother a Hart? Do have the names of any of Zalig's daughters which may help with the search?

I have been unable to find a birth for a Lilly Shad-is that definately the surname?

Thank everyone, coming back to this site is like walking into a warm comfortable room on a bitterly cold day, people like yourselves so willing to assist.

Yes, if the g/fathers names is Hart, and the child is a Shad, then mother would be Hart and father is Shad. The reason for my thread was to try and make concrete the correct place on my tree the photo I spoke of belongs as there are 3 Zaligs 1850/ 64/ 75. Right now I only have one that is married 1875. He married Edith Wheatly Harris with a child Emily Amy with no b/date. I'd like to think the others married because we all know a man is only half a man with out a woman.:}
The photo quality is grainy and dark, Zalig is wearing a suit looks Victorian.

I am not having much luck with Lily either but I have found a Charles C Shad married Annie V Moorcroft in Islington September quarter of 1924..

Marriages Sep 1924 MoorcroftAnnie V.ShedIslington1b559

The surname does state Shad and not Shed ..Mistranscribed on one part..

I have also found these two births no doubt children of the above..

Hawks I have found a Lily Shad but born much earlier..Born about 1909 London Sth East...I also found the same Lily on another forum

Are you 100% Hawkes that Lily was born 1928? I wonder if Lily could have been a sibling of Charles C Shad who married in Islington. The Lily
that Milford-Lass has found could be the same one I came across on that other forum..
