    Default Ancestry subscripstions

I am hoping that someone can help with my query. I want to subscribe to Ancestry, but only for a month, maybe two. As I read it, the subscription is dearer if you do it by the month rather than the year. I want to know if the monthly subs mean I can cancel ay any time, just before the month runs out and they take the next payment. It has been some time since I did a subscription, so just wamted help in clarifying the subs.

I am after mostly the England parish records and the Irish ones, so I hope this is the best site to subscribe to.

    Many thanks for any advice.

Thanks for that. I have had a free sub in the past, so don't think I can do it again?

I have had an annual subscription to ancestry. I also have had a free subscription. The parish records both England & Ireland that I need they do not have them yet - do not be fooled into thinking they have all the records - because so many of them do not have the relevant ones. Look carefully at them and see what they offer before parting with your hard earned cash! Otherwise you may end up with a subscription that offers you nothing.

Have you checked to see if free access to An...try is available at your local public library?

Thank you all so much for your advice. I will check more thoroughly what ancestry has to offer. It may be that the best way is to do a free trial first, or see what is available through my library, especially if there is not much I can look at that is available on there. No point in sub'ing if I can get what I need/what is on there, in a few hours!!

    Much appreciated
