Thread: Where did william go

For some time Ive been looking for William Webb he was with Agnes Harper who used the name Agnes Webb in 1901. They had a child Margaret Webb born 1901. Located on 1901 cencus as a family group with some other circus type people. His job was a comedian listed on Margarets birth cerificate.

Cant find him before this, cant find him after this. Cant find a marriage. From 1901 cencus birth year is 1861, and his birth place as Beverly, Yorks. They had one more daughter who died young.

on free bmd there is a William Webb birth registerd at York Dec quarter 1862 any help?

1 in Rotherham son of John and Ann sister Lily and Hannah a iron moulder
one in York son of William and Sarah Frances with sister Caroline and brother Giles this one is a joiner born 1862
one born Greasborough son of William and Sarah living in Rotherham no occupation noted

Thanks far your infrmation so far, can anyone find the marriage so I can get the marriage certificate and then have a better idea. Agnes was quite a bit younger than William born in 1877. Magaret was the oldest child as far as I know being born ib 1901. that being the case I would think the marriage would be between 1895 and 1901 but just guessing.

Looked on freebmd and found this possible marraige

Suggest you obtain the marriage certificate, not only will it tell you the name tof their father's but Wiliams' employment age and status!
