Thread: Looking for Mary Bell &d Henry Brown who came to N.Z. 1841

They came as assisted immigrants on the Katherine Stewart Forbes arriving in NZ, in 1841 - they married on the ship on the way to New Zealand. They both lied about their ages, the passengers list has them each about 3 years younger than their New Zealand Death Certificates.

I think I have found Mary Bell (nee Lane) birth date 27.12.1806 Christening date 22.02.1807 parents Charles Lane & Mary - baptised at St Matthew, Bethnal Green, London.

Mary had been married before to Frederick Bell - 4 April 1828 St Mary, Whitechapel. On the passenger list she was described as a widow and a servant. She left to come to NZ, from 9 West Road, Globe Fields, London. She left a daughter Emma Bell aged Abt 12 years behind in England, who I think, was left with friends in Holborn London.

Henry Brown left from Lower Edmonton and was listed as an Agricultural Worker.
I think he could be Henry Joseph Brown, born 23 June 1810, christiening date 13 July 1810, Old Church, Saint Pancras, London, Parents William Brown & Elizabeth.

They first settled in Wellington but by 1845, he had a butcher's shop in Queen Street, Auckland. Then a few years later he was listed as a Mariner. In abt 1856 they settled on Waiheke Island.
He died in 1864 in Auckland and Mary in 1886, also in Auckland.

I would appreciate help to establish I"m on the right track for locating the their birth places in England.
