    Default My grandfather, Frank Nash

Please can is anyone able to help me find what happened to my grandfather, Frank Nash?
I have very little information on him. He abandoned my father when his mother died. At the time of my father's birth he was a dock clerk living in Ridgdale Street, Bow and then in 1918 he was listed on my grandmother's death certificate as a temporary admiralty clerk. When my father was placed with the Board of Guardians Frank was registered as living in High Holbourn, London. I have no birth or death for Frank and he was not married to my grandmother as far as I know.
I have been looking for over 20 years so any lead would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your interest. My dad, Thomas Paul Nash was born in April 1915 in Ridgedale Street Bow. Sorry I have no idea how old Frank was at this time but my grandmother was 39. She had three other sons by a previous relationship. I have been searching for their descendants for 20 years and only in January have I found them. I am meeting up with a cousin and second cousin for the very first time in 2 weeks time, very exciting!
Frank has been a complete mystery to me.

As your grandfather was an Admiralty Clerk he could have been in the Civil Service

Thomas P NASH was b June 1915 Poplar his mothers maiden name is shown as WARD as she was 39, not sure if this is at 1915 or 1918 her year of birth will be circa 1876 - 1878

Without further information names / area / aapprox years I think we wil struggle to help you

    Good luck with your meeting

Thank you all who responded to my request about Frank Nash. i shall have a look in the civil service records.
I have lots of information about my grandmother Hilda Constance Ward and her birth and death certificates and traced her in the 1911 census. This is how I have found her three other sons and their families who I am meeting in a fortnight. Hilda was born in Pimlico and I have all her parents and grandparents certificates and the family can be traced back to the Huguenots.
Frank Nash, my grandfather is the elusive one and seems to have vanished off the face of the earth after abandoning my dad in 1920.
