Thread: Where are the Button brothers?

Any help in finding out what happened to my Button brothers would be appreciated.

I have- John Veater Button born 1855 Clutton, Somerset the son of Richard Button and Elizabeth (nee Veater), I have him in census's up until 1881 when he is a carpenter living in Clutton, Somerset. I cannot find any sign of him after this time.

His brother- Robert Button born 1857 Clutton, Somerset , I have him in census's up until 1881 when he is in Vessels Royal Navy on board the ship" Minotaur". I cannot find him after 1881.
The brothers parents both die in 1882.

I would anticipate it is the full service record to include giving date of birth, ship or shore establishment and an account of service
