Richard Vause/Vose/Voas

The person I am trying to find is Richard Vause/Vose/Voas etc. He married Martha Lofthouse at Featherstone in 1803. He was buried at Monk Fryston in 1824. He was born around 1777 but I don't know where he came from. I am sure that if I could find this info. I could get further back as the Vauses have been in these parts since at least 1612 and I suspect 1066!
There are two public trees on A******* which show him born at Barwick In Elmet in 1780.

Have you looked at the original Parish Register for the marriage and burial entries?
The former should advise of which parish Richard Vause was, and whether the marriage was by Banns or license, the latter confirming his trade etc.
Have you looked for appreniceships etc.? try books.google.co.uk
A rummage around the Record Office maybe necessary

I have an Elizabeth Vause that came from Belton. Think i may have some part of the family that have got further back. Some time in 1770. My gran's brother was called Vause and it puzzled us unitl now. It makes sense. If you think this could be a connection just let me know. I will then look through my paperwork. thanks
