Thread: Henry James Peerless

I am trying to find the parents of a Henry James Peerless b c 1814 Kingsdown, Kent. He married Sarah Susanna Skardon in 1837 Deal.
From familysearch.org I have the names of other Peerless/Pearless (there are various spellings of the name in different records - Peerless, Pearless, Perles, Peeliss etc) born in Kingsdown about the same time, who could be related, if not siblings.
So far I have: Mary Ann b/d1797, Sarah Lucy/Louisa c1811, Henry James c 1814, Elizabeth c 1816, Daniel 1817, and Mary c1820, I have Sarah Lucy as the daughter of Thomas and Sarah, and a Thomas Pearless married Sarah Snelling in 1796 Newington next Hythe, so it is possible that Mary Ann b/d 1797 was theirs also, though there is a huge gap between 1797 and 1811 when Sarah Lucy was born.
Can anyone please help with any further information on this branch of the Pearless family? I am stuck well and truly here.

The marriage of Henry PEERLESS ( variations) and Sarah S SKARDON 6 June 1837 ( I think the March 1837 was the banns!) Deal Kent have a look at the Parish record entry made at the time to see where Henry James was of / born ( parish) and who his father is any witnesse maybe relatives/siblings !

Not local to Kent, look at the tool bar on familysearch.org and find a centre close to you where you can order the films/ fisches, it may well be that you will need to look at all entries with your ancestors surname to be able to build up your pre census family tree,

Alternatively as you know the date see if the Kent Record Office will photo copy & post

In your second post "Henry James link appears to be thru Harriet" - a Harriett b 1839 was Henry James' daughter, the same?

Yes, I am very sceptical about some of the trees on the subscription site, having found myself and other immediate family members linked to trees that have no connection with us! I do not have a personal tree on this site!

So checked out the info before I gave it you.... Harriett Louisa = Wm HOILE 09/06/1862 /dau Elizabeth P b 1870 = John COOPER m 1891/son Joseph Henry Robert COOPER b 1892 Walmer = Elsie WEST

Checking via the family tree section, there are actually 2 member tees, the other route was by linked record!
