Thread: William Downing Evans

My first brick wall is the marriage between William Downing Evans (b 1811 Caerleon) and Eliza Jones (b 1822 Oystermouth). His first wife died in 1850 in Newport, Mon, so the marriage must have taken place between 1851 and 1856 when daughter (Louisa Caroline Evans) was born.
My second brick wall is finding the birth certificates of two of his children: Thom Nicholas (born Ipswich, Suffolk, circa 1853) and Anne Evans (died aged 16, Newport, in 1871). Any help much appreciated as every source we have tried has produced nothing. WendyD

In 1851 Census, William is a 39 yr old widower in Newport, living with his daughter Hilda 17, mother Ann 67, 2 nieces, and an apprentice male druggist (R-- Davies)
