Looking for records for Magdalene Institution, Maryhill, Scotland
My GGG Grandmother, Isabella Baird Winning, was born in Woolstanton, Staffordshire,1858.
I have all details for Isabella her parents and beyond including census records , births, marriages and deaths.
What I am seeking is Isabella in the 1881 census.
I have found an Isabella Winning, born England, c1861 living in Lochburn House, Maryhill, Glasgow. She was aged 20 and a laundress. Lochburn House was a Magdalene Institution (please see link). It was originally set up for “fallen” women including drink, drugs and unmarried girls/women.
“The women in the asylum were generally termed as prostitutes; however, it should be noted that this term was used in a very loose manner encompassing not only women who sold sex for money but also single mothers, socialists, mill girls and girls dressed 'immorally'”

What I would really like is to find the records for the late 1870s, early 1880s for the inmates during this period. I have searched but only found reports for other years.
Isabella married in 1885 and I have her on all census after this.
Her Father was John Winning and he died in 1865. Her Mother was Agnes and she was born 1834 – I have her on the 1881 census living alone.
Any help in finding the Lochburn House (Magdalene Institution) would be much appreciated!
