Thread: Amelia Timmins

My Brick Wall - My 3 x Great Grandmother.

Amelia Timmins was born in approximately 1858. She married my 3 x great grandad William Henry Cheetham on 15th April 1877 at All Saint's Church Chorlton Upon Medlock, Manchester. She was 19 years old at the time of her marriage. She and William went on to have 8 children, 5 of which survived into adulthood. I have no trouble finding out about her prior to her marriage but before 1877 I can find no trace of her!! Her father's name on the marriage certificate is Thomas Timmins and it would appear he was still living at this time, also noted is that he is a warehouseman. Both Amelia and William were recorded as living on Higher Cambridge Street at the time of the wedding.
Any assistance in finding out about her before her wedding would be fantastic as I can go no further at the moment - I would like to find her birth record so I could then discover who her mother was and see if she had siblings etc and see if they were originally from the Manchester area.
