    Exclamation Richard Imison b 1774

    Hi,
One of my big blocks (and also other researchers) is parents and/or siblings of Richard Imison.
FamilySearch.org has an IGI entry for his birth as <The Andrew Eastern, Holborn, London, England>.
There are Imisom(Imeson,Immison, etc) lines in Lancs and Yorks. I have not yet reserched all the Yorks branch.
Any help from you experts would be most appreciated.
    Regards,
    Jon Naylor

    Hi Jon,
The entry on the IGI is only for his death, The Andrews Holborn is not necessarily his birthplace and the year would only be based on his approx age at death. So really all you have to go on is the Middlesex from the 1841 census. And I can't find anything either.
The John Imison d.16/8/1788 London mentioned by "chris" above (from Dictionary of National Biography) was a mechanic and printer and in business at Manchester in 1783-5 as a clock & watch maker and optician and also a printer.
