Thread: Thomas Patrick Vincent Smith

Can someone guide me? My Step Grandfather Thomas Patrick Vincent Smith b.1880in Halifax. He was a Regimental Sergeant Major in the Royal Warwick Regiment during first world war. He was awarded the Croix de Guerre but Im not sure for what he did to receive such a medal! How do I go about finding out? He was shot and badly injured possibly in France but died from his wounds many years later being only 47 years old. Many thanks for your help or guidance. DawnPetrina.
