Trying to find Houghton family in Suffolk

Right - I am now concentrating on my Dad's side of the family in Suffolk and have hit my 'brick wall'. My Dad was Donald Houghton b.1925. His Dad was Frederick Houghton b.1903. His Dad was was Jacob King Houghton b.1865. His Dad was Isaac Houghton b.1815 but I can't go beyond that and could really do with some help. Thanks in advance. Julia

England and Wales Christening Records show an Isaac Houghton born 21st February 1815, and baptised on 2nd March that year, in Suffolk (no exact location given), parents Benjamin Houghton (b. 1783 Worlington, Suffolk) and Mary Arnold (b. 1787 Suffolk)
A related tree on A****** shows the same Isaac Houghton as the husband of Mary Webb (b.1821), and the father of 8 children, among whom is a Jacob Houghton, b.1864.
Jacob is shown as the husband of Alice, b. 1871.
Is this the correct family?
Hi Finbar, thankyou for finding Benjamin and Mary for me and yes this is the correct family. I have found out that Isaac was married to Mary Webb and had 4 children, she died and he married Mary Payne (all these Mary's!) and had 4 more children Jacob being the youngest. He also inherited a step-daughter Nancy Payne. I love all this - thanks for your help - I am sure I will be back for more. Julia

Hi Julia, I am not sure if there could be a connection here with your Houghtons but I found a marriage for Isaac Houghton to Caroline Pitchers ..

Hi, thankyou for the info. but I don't think that's one of my Isaacs. I have Isaac b.1815 married Mary Webb and then married Mary Payne. With Mary Webb he had an Isaac b.1846. Mind you it could be an Isaac from another brother!
