Just three I picked out. Ida Smith Born 1914. Wakefield Yorkshire. Mother's Name Hartley

Ida Smith Born 1915. Rotherham. Mother Name Lambert All are Vol 9c. on the record

Thank you for your prompt reply, she was born in Outwood, Wakefield, we think she married about 1938. We have never known anythng about her parents as they died quite early, and definitely before we were born. we know she was the youngest of about sixteen siblings, but that's about all.

Thanks for your reply to my request, the information you sent is correct, except that we thought they got married in Wakefield. I am trying to locate the parents of Ida Smith, who was born Outwood Wakefield, 1914, she died in Jan 1956, we know she was the youngest of 16 siblings, but not who they are. Thanks again.

The only sure way of getting back is to get the marraige Cert. You will a least have the fathers names to go on plus age of bride and groom. Do you have the names of any sibblings and approx ages ?

The name George is not related to us, Ida did have sisters and brothers older than her, which she looked after after her parents death, she was the youngest of sixteen. These are some of the names I know, but I don't have their ages. Ivy, Dorothy,Roland, Leonard, Cyril, Ernest, Alonso, Lewis, These are the only ones that survived, and we know Alonso was the eldest. We now think the mother's maiden name was Hartley. Hope this helps and thank you for giving your assistance.
