    Exclamation Clisby Riggs Jones

Hi Gang! I definitely have a lost family in my line. Clisby Riggs Jones born Mar 1849 Lafayette Co., Arkansas and died 1907 Ringling, Jefferson Co., Oklahoma. Had married Mary Elizabeth Agnes Watkins born Nov 1861 Texas and died abt. 10 July 1918 Ringling, Jefferson Co., Oklahoma. They were married 1 Jan 1880 Breckenridge, Stephens Co., Texas. She went by Lizzie. She is the family I am searching for. Her father Mr. Watkins died in the Civil War and her mother and Lizzie's youngest sibling were killed by carpetbaggers while Lizzie and her two brothers John & Walley? watched while hiding out. The three of them, Lizzie, John & Walley were then sent to orphanage(s) more than likely in Texas since that is where they resided at the time. I want to find her parents and family and any info. that you can help me with. I have been searching for about 15 years now. Please Help!!!

I should also include Clisby & Lizzie's children's names as I know alot of children can be named after their ancestors and I do know that some of the children are named after Clisby's family. The children are Jasper Franklin, Jesse Harrison, Beverley Augustes (male), Porter Hamilton, Eula Lee, Mamey Ann, Clisby Riggs Sr. (he had a Jr. Clisby is why he was a Sr.) and my great grandma Florence Agnes Jones. Hope this helps...

I forgot to include that Clisby's spouse Mary Agnes Elizabeth Watkins mother was supposedly full-blood Cherokee if that helps at all.

    Default Daugher of Mary Watkins

Cherokeebabe, not sure if the thread still works but here we go. Clisby Jones and Mary Watkins would be my great great relatives. Their daughter Mamey Ann Jones is my great grand mother. If this thred still works hit me up, don't wanna elobrate if this is a dead link. Thanks

Default Mary Agnes Elizabeth Watkins Parents

[QUOTE=Cherokeebabe;241612]I forgot to include that Clisby's spouse Mary Agnes Elizabeth Watkins father or mother was supposedly full-blood Cherokee if that helps at all. Also suspect that Mary Watkins and her brothers John Watkins and Wally or Wiley Watkins may had been sent to the Bayland Orphanage in Stephens Co., Texas. Mary had come out of the orphanage and married Clisby R. Jones in Stephens Co. so if anyone has the listings of children that would have been in the orhanage abt. 1864 to 1884. Thanks...
