Hi I have spent many years trying to find the marriage of John Caney born in Kent around 1798 and Elizabeth born in Leham Kent John went on to live and work in Maidstone Kent in the printing industry. He had a brother named Thomas Caney. John Caney passed away on 2nd of June 1850 in Maidstone. I have traveled down to Maidstone record office and not had any joy. I have been told that there is no record of the marriage in Lenham, I cant find them on the IGI site, but they are both on the 1841 census in Maidstone Kent. Please Please I would be so greatful for any help Thank you for taking the time to read this.

How sure are you on the dates and place of marraige ?

Have you any documents / proof apart from the 1841 census ? If so could you post what info you have from the census please, so we can search further for you .

Have you any other information on Thomas ? Was he born 1826 London ,( found him on 1851 c in Birmingham living with wife Mary A .)
