    Default Fairclough Family

I am trying to trace George Fairclough born in 1875 I have found him living with his wife Isabella at 25 Higher st, Whitefield. By 1911 census they have moved. I know they had a daughter called Mary who was born in 1906. Could anyone please help me with this I have run out of ideas where to look.

    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi Jackspar.

Many library Local Studies Departments hold old electoral rolls and Borough Directories.

    It might be worth making enquiries with Bury Local Studies: Tel: 0161 253 5871 Tel: 0161 253 7089 (computer bookings) Fax: 0161 253 5857 e-mail: information@bury.gov.uk

What info do you already have about George? do you know where he was born? or do you have any certs that may help us to find him? perhaps the name was mistranscribed on the 1911 census, could he perhaps have been out of the country or even have died? Sorry where is Whitefield?

This looks like his marriage. It could be worth getting to find both father's names. It might be useful if either George and/or Isabella died before the 1911 census, children could be with their g/parents.

England & Wales, FreeBMD Marriage Index: 1837-1915

    Year of Registration: 1898
