Thread: Brick wall help, please

I am Jill Gibbard and am hoping that someone might be able to help with a brick wall that I have in my tree. I have been unable to find a birth record nor any parentage for FRANCES MARLBOROUGH, born about 1817 Clerkenwell. She subsequently married my great grandfather William Henry Allen, a lighterman in London. She died in 1890 in Southwark. Any clues would be most gratefully received as she is the only member of this generation without parentage in my tree!!

Are you sure of the date? I found the marriage for your ancestors and it was only 1834, so she would have been 17 at the time. Could she perhaps be older?

I found this record for 1807, there's no forename (presumably it was illegible)
