William Gigg

In the 1851 census my 2xg grandfather a watch maker aged 50 and from Langford Somerset living at 11, Club Row, Bethnal Green with his wife Caroline aged 31 and their offspring.

Willam was run over by a carriage and died age 57 at Stanwell Middx in 1857 found at the LMA
MS/SPC/W/1082 [nd]. so William should have been born abt 1800.

I can find no Wm Gigg born/bap at that time in Langport.

Wm & Caroline Booth married 1840 Midx and on the entry it say's "James" Gigg.

Please can anyone help me with this, Thanking you Drinda.

For information A******y have his birthplace as Langford but there is a member submitted correction to Langport, on the image it is clearly Langport.

Have you thought his name maybe James William or he just may have used both /either names ?
Also would be worth looking for the parish register of his marraige to see if any other details have been added .
