Davies Ireland and Mills family from Painswick Gloucs

I'm having a problem tracing my father's side of the family. His grandfather was Stephen Davies 1842 - 1919, born in Painswick, Gloucestershire. Stephen married Rebecca Ireland also from Painswick. Rebecca's dates were 1841 - 1923. Rebecca's parents were Henry Ireland and Leah Mills. I tried to go further with the Mills family, but Painswick is full of them and I find it difficult to sort out who belongs to which family. I think Leah and Henry had seven children, of whom Rebecca was the last but I'm not entirely sure as there seems to be very little census information and I cant find what happened to any of them except Rebecca. I also cannot trace Leah or Henry any further back. i believe there were a number of Non-conformists in Painswick around that time and I wonder if this has to do with why I can get no further. Any help from you would be very much appreciated as I am visiting the UK in March and will be going to Painswick to see where my father's family came from.
