I am trying to locate my Crabtree Family - Hugh Crabtree born 1761 married Margaret Bagnor - they had 6 children. Frances born Kildare Kilcullen 1783 married Henry Boland in Dublin - cannot find any issue for these two. John born 1787 Kilcullen Kildare - cannot trace this man at all. James born 1789 Kilcullen Kildare - may have died in Madras, Madras India but canot prove this. Margaret born 1793 Kilcullen Kildare - cannot find this lady at all. Hugh born 1795 on the Certificate is notes as Stokestown Kilcullen Kildare - never heard of this place. There is a Stokestown in Westmeath and a Strokestown in Mayo - where is he - no known deaths or marriages. Mary born 1797 also Stokestown. She married Christopher Tipper and lived in Carnalway County Kildare - children non registered around that time.
So frustrated - have put together 3 Crabtree families born in Ireland but all from England. I would absolutely love to find where these people went. Hugh the father was Convict Rebel to Port Jackson 1800 - on The Anne 1 - no burial or death registered. He lost his 50 acres on the Hawkesbury due to flood fire etc. Poor man - would love to know what happened to him too. Cannot race his wife either.
