Thread: William McAillister

I have recently got stuck on finding out more about my father's ancestors. William McAillister married Elizabeth Clements and we think they were born around 1805 - 1810. They had a son, John McAllister who was born around 1833 in Sunderland, Durham. That family moved to Scotland and lived in Alloa, Clackmannanshire where the son William born around 1853 stayed when his parents moved to Rutherglen. We think the first William and Elizabeth were born in Ireland but can find no trace of them living in England or Ireland. Any help would be appreciated.

You have the family in Sunderland in 1833 then 20 years later in 1853 in Alloa Scotland have you located them on the 1841 & 1851 census returns, if so kindly post the references.
