MARGARET ADLAM

G'day All,

One of my 'brick walls' has been Margaret ADLAM, born about 1800, where, I have no idea. Margaret's father is said to be an Alexander ADLAM a St Kitts merchant. Margaret married about 1819, Sidney STEPHEN in, so her death certificate states, Bermuda. The STEPHEN family was a well known legal family in the UK as well as the WI. In about 1828 most of this side of the family came to Australia, taking various positions within the legal fraternity. Sidney eventually accepting a post of High Cout Judge in New Zealand, where he died, in Auckland in about 1861. After Sidney's death, Margaret returned to Australia, where her children were living and she died in Melbourne in May of 1875. I'm not too sure as to where else I can look for information.
