Checking out Family Search for their Marriage (didn't find) found births for all the children and the dates were either exact or only a year out from the 1841 census found by Elaine. As you have their marriage date, does it state their parent's names?

Have you looked on Scotland's People for their births?

Found potentials for both John and Margaret's births but there are too many within the date ranges to be positive about any of them without at least the Father's names.
