Hello, i joined about a minute ago! My friends and i have created a website on a village called Hampton Gay in Oxfordshire. We have researched for hours on the village and want now to focus more on some of the families that lived there.
There once was a manor house, which has been a ruin now for over 120 years which many people lived in but i am particularly interested in Robert Langton Pearson from Whalley in Lancashire born 1822 who ran the paper mill there and lived in the manor house. i gather he spend a lot of his life in Oxford but am hoping to find some more info or a photo of him.
If anyone does have any info i would love to hear from you, also about Benjamin Taylor from Tettenhall in Wolverhampton, he was killed in the 1874 train crash just outside the village and is buried in the graveyard at Hampton Gay.
Our website is called H Link removed by AA staff, Please contact Jon the webmaster if you wish to advertise your website if you are interested.
I hope to hear from someone on here. Many thanks for reading this![]()
