Help needed please anyone.
i have been searching for my 2xg grandfather Thomas Stringer b Hull 1827. his occupation was
a marriner. he was on the steam ship Victoria from Hull when it hit rocks near Wingo Beacon on it's way to St Petersburg. it was wrecked. i have searched Hull history centre and found the info on the wreck.
have asked beverley register office for info on death cert as i found a death for thomas Stringer in Driffield they checked but the wife's name is not the same. he married Emma Turpin,
The steamer went down in 1852 Emma remarried and my g gran was born in 1853,
would like to know if there would have been a death dert for him,
any help much appreciated.
