I can find no more information on my ancestor William Day, other than he died in 1795 in Childwick Green, Herts. That he was the grandson of John Gunnell of Crow End, St. Pauls Walden, Herts. I found him through his daughter Mary(Day) Hooker[ married Richard Hooker-either in Redbourn or St. Albans Feb1775. Any assistance with my road block would greatly be appreciated.. thank you very much.gif "(handshake)")

You probably need to look at the parish registers to see what has actually been recorded at the time of the events. familysearch.org
Not sure where you are located so unable to suggest anything more positive, other than a trip to the Hertfordshire Record Office!
Where did you find the death of William DAY?
Remeber to adjust for the Julian to Gregorian calendar in 1751/1752
