Thread: Mary Ann Coates

I am trying to find a marriage for my G Grandmother Mary Ann Coates born 1811 Birmingham. Her husband was David Ogilvy/Ogilwy. On the 1841/51/61 census they are living in the East End of London, with a large family. Their first child Richard was born in 1836, in Holborn. David was married previously to Susannah Dickens ( I have found this marriage). I found a marriage in 1834, for a David Ogilvy widower and a Mary Ann Smith widow and I wondered if this could be correct. My brick wall is that on birth certificates for two of her children she gives her previous name as Coates not Smith.

If anyone could help I would be very grateful as I have been looking for this marriage for a number of years.
