hi everyone,
I am researchiing the Maddiss Clan -originally from around the Felthorpe area of Norfolk, any information will be gratefully recieved.
My other research is for the Pointons from Stoke on Trent - I have hit a brick wall in finding marriage of Charles Thomas Pointon to Mary Hannah Baggeley, believe it to be around 1890, any help appreciated.
Hi Staffordstray, Have you seen this marriage..The surname has been mistranscribed..

I have found a number of marriages for Baggeley for Stoke Upon Trent but not one for Baggeley to Pointon..Could the Catherine above have been the sister of Charles Thomas and could Jabes or Jabez have had a connection to Mary Hannah? In regards to the Maddis clan could we have some names and dates please if known. ie dates and years of birth..Parents and siblings names.

Staffordstray, there are a number of Family Trees on another well known forum A*******.Co who have your Thomas and Mary in them. One also has photo's and old documents attached.Their son Charles Thomas Pointon was born December 1893 Hilderstone..Their son Frederick also born Hilderstone 1895..Siblings born after Frederick all born in Fulford..Perhaps Thomas and Mary were married in the same area as where their oldest two children were born?
I would also be checking variants of the surname Baggeley..(Bagley Bagly)

Re the Maddiss connection. Are you starting with Samuel Meddes who married Elizabeth Stone, - widow, on 7th March 1822 in the Parish of Hevingham, Norfolk? And then in 1841 were residing in West Gaze, Hevingham.
