Thread: James Samuel Peppit death

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help please?

I've posted on the Big Help Out, but since then, I've made a revalation (i.e., I wasn't looking closely enough!)

I believe James Samuel Peppit died between 1874 and 1881, 1874 being the year of birth of his last child and his wife appears as a widow on the 1881 census. I cannot find a death record for him using BMD records, and as he was a mariner, I wonder whether he either died at sea or abroad?

Is there anyone who could have a look and see if they can find him please?

I have checked the GRO marine deaths 1870-1881 and consular deaths 1870-1885 for you but there are no instances of the name Peppit or close matches. :-( sorry.

Apologies for not replying sooner! Thank you for your look-ups, Poleta. I don't know where he could have got to!
Pejay, James was originally from Essex, but his family were living in Yarmouth, Norfolk at the 'apparent' time of his death.
