i'm looking for information on violet bennett born 1912 in fulham,london died in 2000 in ringmer,england.she married thomas edward matthew washer born 10 feb 1906 in hailsham,england died 1991 in ringmer,england. violet married thomas in 1929 in hailsham. the only thing i know about her parents is her fathers last names in bennett and her mothers last name is downes.
can anyone help.

Not sure where you found the birth as being in 1912 Fulham, I can only find Violet's with an additional Forename!
However looking at the death entry's for Violet WASHER died 2000LewesSUssex ( which is near to Ringmer had to google as I live in the NW ) shows the following

Death Registration Month/Yearec 2000
Age at death (estimated):91
Registration district:Lewes

the birth being 1909 registered in the q2 1909, this is the nearest I can find
is Violet BENNETT Stratford 6d 710
There are 2 possibilities on the latest census information both living in Fulham so you may need to purchase the marriage certificate of WASHER / BENNETT

Hi Nicola. If you have a copy of Violets marriage Certificate it will tell you her Fathers name and his profession.

Personally I would still want ot check that out, I found my late grandmother married to someone else but with her father and mother ( my gt grandparents) and the most ghastly picture.It turned out the researcher was looking for a similar named person with the same month and year of birth...but in a neighbouring county, now resolved!

Nicola,You still need to purchase that Marriage Certifcate to be able to progress any further..There is only so much you can do in regards to free searches but sometimes like in your case you need to get that certificate..
