Peter Boulton/Bolton Cheshire. Help needed.

Peter Bolton/boulton was born in Barton on Irwell or Barnton Cheshire ( depending on which census is used ) in 1815, he married Anne Hickson on Dec 9th, 1838 in st Mary church, Gt Budworth Cheshire, his marriage certificate shows his father as John Bolton sailmaker, and a witness thet seems to be Robert Bolton, but this is not certain, any help on his parents or siblings would knock down my current brick wall.

Checking with the census,
1) I would expect the place of birth to be Barnton NORTHWICH Cheshire, purely because he is a waterman who would probably have plied the River Weaver from Northwich to Liverpool
2) He married in a parish local to Northwich....
I could of course be mistaken with my assumption

1841 census H107 92 4 Bells Brow Gt Budworth Weaverham
suggests that he was born in County, this will be Cheshire ( transcribed as BALTON)
The emnumerators description of this census area is All that part of the Township of Barnton lying on the northside of the road from Northwich to Runcorn
Did he die in 1892 at Pickmere desc as a bridge keeper? If so I would think it is more than likely that Peter was born in Barnton Cheshire and not Barton on Irwell Lancashire which is Eccles way!
I am aware that NOT all Cheshire parish records are 'on line' yet !

It is odd that on some census Peter Bolton is shown as born Cheshire and on others Lancashire! However, if he was born Barton upon Irwell, Lancashire (ie Eccles) (and I suspect he was or why else who the enumerator list him as born Lancashire in 1851, 1861 and 1891 unless he was told this?), here is a potential from FS. As you can see, only the Mother's name is shown.
